Sunday Morning FAQ
What to Expect
Where do you meet?
We meet for Sunday Worship at 9:30 AM at the Thunder Ridge Middle School cafeteria, 5250 S Picadilly St. Aurora, Colorado 80015
Thunder Ridge Middle School is between Eaglecrest High School and the Cherry Creek Schools Admin building.
Where’s the front door?
The entrance to the school is marked by two pairs of flags. When you enter the building, you will see our information and refreshment table. Please feel free to grab a beverage and a snack.
What should I wear?
Wear what is comfortable to you. While more dressy clothing is perfectly good, most of us are jeans and shirt types.
How do I find the restrooms, nursery, etc?
As you come into the building, you will find the restrooms on the left side, just past the refreshment tables. The Nursery is located in the Teacher’s lounge inside the cafeteria where we have our worship service. A long pink Nursery banner is hanging just before the Nursery door as you walk into the cafeteria.
Can I sit anywhere?
Absolutely. We sit around the cafeteria tables and there are no assigned seats.
Am I expected to give something in the offering?
We don’t take an offering during the service rather we have two stations for giving located up front near the communion table and one at the entrance to the cafeteria. You are not obligated to give at all unless of course you want to.
How long will the service last?
Service should last about 1 hour. We sing for about 30 minutes and the sermon lasts about 30 minutes unless the pastor gets on a tangent then hold on.
Is communion just for members, or for everyone?
Communion is for anyone who has placed their faith in Christ for salvation. We welcome you to join us in communion if that describes you.
Why are we singing?
We believe that God created music to express our feelings of thanks and praise to Him. We sing because it helps connect us with God and brings His truths from our minds into our hearts.
